Has anybody (the few Mythus players that frequent this board) ever tried/considered converting adventures for other systems to Mythus? LA might convert nicely. Maybe running the Hermit, or the HoMP with Mythus might play closer to what Gary had in mind that a D&D conversion. What about D&D to Mythus conversions? Any experience?

I have considered concerting T1, and I've been thinking about how each of the NPCs would work. Would Lareth be a full practicioner? Or Burne? And what about Jaroo?

I don't think that Lareth would be a FP, but he would gain Priestcraefter bonuses for having a Pact or Vow... the other two I would rank as Partial Practitioners as well, although Burne would probably have such extraneous heka-generating K/S areas tacked on as Apotropaism, Exorcism, et al. in keeping with his "guardian" status.

The full/partial rule makes conversion tough, since every AD&D M-U has the potential to become an arch-mage, but the odds of becoming a full practicioner are so small. Who would be Greyhawk's full practicioners? Mordenkainen, Tenser, Bigby?

Definitely those three... even Otto, and of course Basiliv (who falls into an even more prestigious category...) Tsojcanth was a "mage" by Gary's AD&D context, but since he utilized castings of both M-U and Cleric, he would have been more akin to Setne in Mythus terms. Rob's Tomorast would be a FP--with some good demonology and sorcery thrown inas well. Next... ^__^

Riggby, definitely FP ^__^ As a rule of thumb; if they have a widespread spell named after them, they probably were FP (Serten might be, despite his actual low level and spell being a M-U spell...). If they're "dual-class", then PP...(except under deitific/very bizarre circumstances...) Eric is probably more up-to-date than I am, so maybe he can chime in! ^__^ BTW, the Mythus board (THE Mythus board...) has enjoyed a recent surge of activity---happy for me to see! GT

In Gary’s campaign, no PC cleric ever made it to the level where they could cast the top level spells. Both Riggby and Serten started out as henchmen I think, so I wouldn’t consider it automatic that either would be full practitioners, but for name recognition those would be the best candidates.
